Utility Club Free Power for a Year Promotion – Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Utility Club Pty Ltd (ABN 52 676 292 149) of 3/2 Kent Place, South Melbourne VIC 3205 (Promoter).
2. Promotion Period
The promotion commences at 12:00am AEST on the 1st of Jan 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 30 June 2026 (Promotion Period).
3. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over who reside in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland.
To be eligible to enter and win, participants must:
- Successfully switch their electricity supply through Utility Club during the Promotion Period
- Have an active and open electricity account with the new retailer on the draw date
Entries associated with cancelled, failed, reversed, withdrawn or closed energy accounts at the time of the draw will be deemed invalid.
Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Only one entry is permitted per household for the duration of the Promotion Period.
4. How to Enter
Eligible participants will automatically receive one entry into the draw when they successfully switch their electricity through Utility Club and the account is accepted by the retailer.
No additional purchase or payment is required beyond the energy switch itself.
Incomplete, duplicated, fraudulent or ineligible entries will be deemed invalid.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive a prize valued at $2,500 AUD, paid via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to a nominated Australian bank account.
The prize is intended to represent “free power for a year” and is provided as a cash payment only.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for any other form of compensation.
6. Draw Details
The winner will be drawn at random on 1 July 2026 at the Promoter’s premises at 3/2 Kent Place, South Melbourne VIC 3205.
The draw will be conducted using a random selection method.
The winner will be notified by phone and or email within two (2) business days of the draw.
7. Publication of Winner
The winner’s first name, initial of surname and state may be published on Utility Club’s website and social media channels.
By entering, participants consent to this publication.
8. Prize Claim
The winner must respond within 14 days of notification and provide valid identification and bank account details for EFT payment.
If the winner does not respond within the required timeframe, the prize may be forfeited and a redraw conducted.
9. Redraw
If required, a redraw will take place at the same location as the original draw within 30 days of the original draw date.
The redraw winner will be notified in the same manner as the original winner.
10. Permit Information
This promotion is a game of chance.
Trade promotion permits are not required in Victoria or New South Wales.
For Queensland, if a permit is required, the permit number will be obtained and published prior to the draw.
11. General Conditions
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants, including verifying account status with the retailer, and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of participating in the promotion or accepting the prize.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the promotion and to verify eligibility.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
